Eligibility Criteria
1. Athletes Breaking a National Record:
Athletes of Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality, regardless of age or status, who participate in individual events of athletics, swimming, weightlifting, or track cycling—either in domestic or international competitions during 2025—and achieve results that surpass the existing national record previously set by Taiwanese athletes are eligible to apply.
2. Junior and Senior High School Athletes Breaking a Tournament Record:
Junior and senior high school athletes of Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality who participate in the 2025 National High School Games and, in individual events of athletics, swimming, weightlifting, or track cycling, set or break a tournament record are eligible to apply.
3. The specific events referred to in this article are those that correspond to the items listed in Appendix 1 of these regulations, and whose national records can be verified through the Sports Administration of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
4. For weightlifting, only athletes who break the combined total record of the snatch and clean & jerk events are eligible. Breaking a record in only one of the two events does not qualify for this award.
5. Athletes who break a national record must have their achievement officially recognized by the Sports Administration of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Junior and senior high school athletes who set or break a tournament record must have their achievement officially verified by the event’s organizing authority.
6. If multiple athletes break a national record or set/break a tournament record in the same event within the same competition, only the athlete with the best performance is eligible to apply.
However, if multiple athletes break the same national record in different competitions, this restriction does not apply.
Application Period and Method
1. Within 90 days after the conclusion of the competition, applicants must submit the application form along with official proof of results to this public welfare trust.
Details regarding the application period, form format, and submission method will be announced in the latest official notice of the trust.
The application documents must include:
1.The official application form for this public welfare trust award (and required attachments)
2. A copy of the applicant’s National ID card (front and back)
3. A copy of the applicant’s bankbook (showing account name, number, and bank information)
4. A copy of the official competition result certificate
3. The application deadline for this year’s award is November 15.
Applications submitted after November 15 may still be accepted by the public welfare trust if the delay is due to the competition date being close to or beyond the deadline. However, the award will be presented in the following year upon approval.
(All applications must still comply with the 90-day submission period stated in Item 1, and those approved after the deadline will have their awards granted in the next calendar year.)
4. Awards granted in the following year, as specified in the preceding item, shall be issued in accordance with the donation and award regulations of the current year.
5. Applications submitted beyond the 90-day period specified in Item 1, or those with incomplete documentation, may be rejected by the public welfare trust.
6. If a minor athlete’s legal representative or guardian applies for the award on their behalf, a household registration document must be provided to verify the relationship between the applicant and the athlete.
7. All applications that meet the above eligibility requirements are subject to review and approval by the public welfare trust. The applications will be submitted to the trust’s advisory committee for evaluation, and awards will be granted only upon approval.
