WANG TAIWAN RECORD PRIZE AWARD
The WTRP Award was initiated by Min-Hui Chien, who hopes this honor will celebrate the athletes who set new records and new milestones on the international stage. Through this award, she wishes to dedicate recognition, applause, and glory to these trailblazers — the “Number Ones of Taiwan.”
AWARD & CEREMONY
2025 AWARD CEREMONY
The 2025 WTRP Record-Breaking Award will be held on December 24, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel. We warmly welcome everyone to join us in celebrating this inspiring event.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The trophy’s design incorporates the imagery of Taiwan, symbolizing the unique honor belonging to Taiwanese athletes. The ascending pillars represent the athletes’ relentless spirit of self-improvement and perseverance. There are 113 pillars, signifying the year 113 of the Republic of China calendar (2024) — the inaugural year of the Record-Breaking Award. When viewed from the side, the pillars outline the shape of Taiwan, representing every steady step taken in the pursuit of excellence and the collective effort that allows Taiwan to shine brightly on the international stage.
Danny Donohue - Creative Director of the Project
I am truly honored to be part of such an incredible project. As a designer with over 20 years of experience, it’s rare for me to encounter a project that is driven purely by the desire to give, rather than to gain. What excites me most about this project is its core motivation — love: love for God, love for family, and love for Taiwan. This love became my inspiration throughout the creative process. Every design detail was crafted to encourage and uplift those who work tirelessly, striving to stand out from Taiwan and shine on the world stage.
Danny Donohue
