ABOUT WTRP
The WTRP Award was established under this public welfare trust to honor athletes who set new national records on the international stage. Becoming the first in Taiwan and representing the nation with pride on the world stage is no easy feat — and breaking records is an even rarer achievement. Therefore, regardless of whether the athlete ultimately stands on the podium, this award serves to recognize and reward their extraordinary accomplishment. Congratulations to these athletes for becoming the best in Taiwan and for leading the nation toward new milestones in global sports.

Design Concept and Colors

The colors blue and white are inspired by the traditional palette of Taiwan’s national uniforms in international competitions, symbolizing honor and pride on the global stage. The stair-shaped lines represent the relentless effort required to reach the summit — a tribute to those who rise to every challenge in pursuit of greatness. The letterforms and typography draw inspiration from the ignited Greek Olympic flame, symbolizing the burning passion within every athlete a fire that drives them to surpass their limits and set new world records.

Vision and Aspiration
The WTRP Award aims to inspire all athletes to strive toward becoming the best in Taiwan, to persevere in their respective fields, to surpass their own limits, and to create new milestones for Taiwanese sports. In addition, the award seeks to motivate athletes competing in non-traditional or less dominant disciplines, encouraging them to start by breaking their personal bests, to keep improving, and to pursue excellence — ultimately helping new areas of strength emerge within Taiwan’s sports community. Only by surpassing Taiwan’s own records can we take the next step toward setting world records.
